Dear Sister-in-Christ,

Thank you for your review of my book, Her Husband is Known in the Gates. Of course, I was deeply disappointed that you saw something differently than what I felt I had made clear. Early in the book I defined Success and also made comments regarding a man's vocation...whatever it might be (pages 13-14). My Dad was a common laborer and I considered him one of the most successful men I ever knew.

Please re-read those pages as I would like for your closure on my book to capture the "heart" of what I have shared.

It happens that the Lord took Wes into an entirely different arena -business-wise than either of us had ever thought possible. Therefore my story illustrations reflect the life we were living. If he had continued to be a "service technician" or a television repairman, or whatever, the Lord would still have had me walk this same street of learning to be a helpmate, I am sure. (And I would still be proud of his accomplishment as a successful man.)

In Christ, Bernadine B. Cantrell

I would welcome your response to my comments made several days ago. Seeing what a busy young woman you are, I know that you probably can't look at the internet every day.

My book is on the verge of being translated into Russian and distributed in the Russian speaking area. We are excited at the possibility of re-printing even as I type this.
