Verse of the Day:
“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:5-6)

What a convicting verse!!! I had such another discouraging day today that it would have been so difficult for me to be full of grace and my speech seasoned with salt.

I took the 3 hour glucose tolerance test today and the medical technician who took my blood sample was just very honest with me in telling me that my chances of having gestational diabetes is high. I was quite discouraged with that news because I believe that I already eat quite healthy and I wouldn't know what foods would have to be cut out of my diet since I already don't eat too many sweets. Since food is so expensive, we already don't have much food in the house either and I got so discouraged because it just seemed that in order for me to control this gestational diabetes I'd need to starve. I know I don't have all the information regarding gestational diabetes and my worry is so premature but the challenging part that I AM struggling with is that I am having such a difficult time trusting in God. I am so thankful that God is never changing and ever so faithful because faithfulness on my own strength wavers back and forth. So, my prayer is that someday, I can be consistently faithful through the good and the bad times. That way, I may be full of grace and my speech seasoned with salt if I were to talk to an "outsider".

Since I was so discouraged today, I didn't do any daily chores. Instead, I spent the rest of my day playing with DearDaughter. That was actually a good idea because it helped me get my mind off of some things and I had a lot of fun!

Well, DearHubby is in for the night. He spent some time in the garage making a "Clean Fill Needed" sign.

I'll end this here to spend some time with DearHubby.

In Pursuit of His Call

Just want you to know I'm praying for you. Be encouraged....Keep me posted on your test and what the results are... God can still move and heal - don't stress it. I'm glad you enjoyed time with your daughter, funny how kids can make us smile when we need it most.
