Verse of the Day:
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I had a good weekend.
I woke up Saturday morning and baked a breakfast dessert for DearHubby and I. After straightening out the house, I got ready to go out for a lunch date with a DearFriend whom I haven't seen for about 2 years. It was a hectic ride into and out of the city, but I still had a good afternoon. DearFriend took me to a Korean restaurant where we enjoyed a very good Korean feast!!! I don't know the names of our dishes because DearFriend ordered, but it was Korean BBQ beef "tacos" with Korean style fried rice and soup.
Then, when I arrived home, I spent some time playing with DearDaughter outside, cooked dinner, put DearDaughter to bed, and then rested the night.
I also want to add that DearHubby had a very profitable weekend. He's been feeling so much better lately and just really pushed himself this past week to get our riding mower running. So, he was able to mow the front part of our property. He was also very nice and washed my black Mustang for me. It looks really nice!!!!!!!
Then, I had a good restful Lord's Day and though I didn't get a nap in the afternoon, DearDaughter was having such a good day that she played by herself very well for most of the day.
Today was also a good day. I had a lot of energy! I was able to return a cooler to another DearFriend, do grocery shopping, come back home and do my daily chores, and then go back out again to purchase some party goodies for DearHubby's birthday celebration this Thursday. I even deviated from my menu and made tacos rather than pizza because I was in the mood to cook.
Ate my last bite at 7:30ish (a bowl of cereal) and I am anticipating tomorrow's glucose test. I bought a lot of good food this week for me to munch on during the day and I hope to get back to good eating habits once again. I wasn't eating too bad, but this week, I especially made sure that I have good fruits to munch on during the day and enough veggies to go with my meals.
Well, DearHubby just got done working on our baby room and new additon plans so I will end this post here.
One last note...I tried to be joyful and thankful today as I went through the day, especially with DearDaughter. What a difference this attitude made. I didn't lose my temper at all. Thank you God!
