When I Turned 30...


DearHubby is celebrating a birthday this week and so I thought I'd look back at when I turned 30 in 2005...(information from www.wikipedia.org)

Events:
- January 20 - George W. Bush is inaugurated in Washington, D.C. for his second term as the 43rd President of the United States.
- February 6 - Super Bowl XXXIX: The New England Patriots win their second consecutive Super Bowl title, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21.
- April 2 - Pope John Paul II dies; over 4 million people travel to the Vatican to mourn him.
- April 9 - The marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles takes place, after being briefly postponed after the Pope's death. Camilla assumes the titles Her Royal Highness and The Duchess of Cornwall.
- August 29 - At least 1,836 are killed, and severe damage is caused along the U.S. Gulf Coast, as Hurricane Katrina strikes coastal areas from Louisiana to Alabama, and travels up the entire state of Mississippi, affecting most of eastern North America.
- December 31 - Another second is added, 23:59:60, called a leap second, to end the year 2005. The last time this occurred was on June 30, 1998.

So I turned 30 a year ealier in 2004, so I'll be 33 this year urgh...
I love re-reading some of that stuff, it just seems like yesterday. Wow, I can't believe it has been 2 years since Episode III came out. Delena was 4 and in love with Star Wars!! And it hasn't stopped 2 years later - I think I know Episode III and Narnia by heart!! I love reading these!
