I was finally done with the dishes after washing them for 2 hours straight. It dawned on me at that time that the clean-up is probably what I do not like about cooking. Cooking is the beginning of the process and if I don't cook, then I don't have any clean-up. Oh well! The fellowship that comes along with cooking is the joy of cooking and if I weigh the clean-up and the joy associated with cooking, the joy far outweighs the "burden" of the clean-up. Anyway, I finally got the dishes done and I am happy!!!
After doing the dishes I quickly got dressed and went out to Hair Cuttery to get my hair cut.
By the time I got home, it was time for lunch and then time to put DearDaughter down for a nap. I guess the kitchen clean-up in the morning really wore me down because I then needed a nap when DearDaughter was down. When she awoke, we had a little snack and then visited DearHubby who was working out in the garage replacing our "spare" truck's back window.
We just returned from Arby's and are now getting ready to watch a movie together. I just had to quickly vacuum the living room and master bedroom. I will now make myself a nice cup of tea and grab a couple of Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Rolled Wafers
"Long. Slender. Graceful. A delicate crisp wafer, surrounds a rich, creamy filling. Perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. Our Pirouette rolled wafers add a touch of elegance when you entertain, and they make a delightful addition to a dish of ice cream or a cup of coffee. Also enjoy them straight out of the tin for an indulgent reward!" - Pepperidge Farm Site
Oh, one last thought. I have an idea called Mom's Coffee Break. I just have several DearFriends going through so much in life and so I thought, "Maybe I should have an open invitation to a closed group of local women once a week at my home and have a place for them to come, have coffee, chat, and share what's on their hearts and minds." I sent out a kick-off e-mail to see if there is any interest and I will talk to DearHubby about the idea as well as pray on it.
Have a Blessed evening,
In Pursuit of His Call
