Funday Thursdays and Fridays

The past couple of weeks have been filled with many activities for the little ones, especially the past 2 Thursdays and Fridays.

2 Thursdays ago, the girls and I, along with 5 other mommies and their little ones went to a local farm to go on a hayride and pumpkin picking. Since the girls and I had been apple and pumpkin picking already, we just went along for the hayride and fun!

The fun didn't stop there...We then had a short play date with another one of DearDaughter's friends...

Then, last Thursday, the girls and I went to our local Chic-Fil-A because they've been serving free breakfasts on Thursdays for the past month now. Last Thursday they served sausage, egg, and cheese bisquit sandwiches. It was yummy. Drinks are not free, so I brought my own from Dunkin Donuts :) Oh, and each person gets a free sandwich!

After our free breakfast, DearDaughter1 and I went to story time at the library for the first time. She learned all about her colors and even made a very colorful crown.

And the fun didn't stop there...We then had another short play date at the dinosaur park. We could have played all day, but I had some chores to do at home.

2 Fridays ago, DearHubby and I had our first date ever since the girls were born and so I spent most of the day preparing for my friend who was babysitting. However, in between my preparations, the girls and I were still able to make a quick Wal-Mart run to get us some food for dinner AND spend a nice afternoon at the mall.

Then, last Friday, we were scheduled to have a play date at our house, but our electricity went out. It was an interesting morning as I had to give the girls a bath in the dark (our bathroom does not have a window to it) with a pot of water each. Though our play date was planned for the outdoors on our play set, everything was wet from the morning dew and so I requested to go over our friends' house instead. What a fun morning the girls had with their friends playing play dough and riding around on their little tricycles and taking turns pulling each other in the trailor. Even DearDaughter2 got to participate. Usually, I need to hold DearDaughter2 down because she is just too small to participate, but we were on my friend's patio which was enclosed and DearDaughter2 was able to roam around as she pleased without me worrying too much about her safety.

I always look forward to the end of the week as I know that time is set apart just for the girls. It's given me the opportunity to enjoy and savor the time with these little ones, especially when the time flies by so quickly!
