Week of February 12-17, 2007
Note: Our family's been going overbudget again in groceries and so for a few weeks, my menus might be repetitive and easy with no new recipes, just to save a little money.
Monday: Pizza
Monday: Pizza
NOTE: Mondays are Pizza nights at OurHome. I am usually out during the day running errands and by the end I am usually too tired to think about cooking and I just pop in a DiGiorno Pizza for dinner.
Tuesday: Leftover Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, green beans
Tuesday: Leftover Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, green beans
Wednesday: Store bought chicken roast, white rice, steamed veggies
Thursday: Spaghetti
Thursday: Spaghetti
Friday: Teriyaki noodles with beef, white rice, steamed veggies
Saturday: Red beans & rice with beef, steamed veggies
Sunday: Off to Texas for DearHubby's knee surgery. Gone for a week
We didn't eat out last week so I'm not sure why I didn't stick to my menu because this week's menu looks almost identical to last week's. Oh, yeah, I remember now...Our stove/oven runs on propane and we ran out of propane. The exchange service at Home Depot didn't work, so I had to get creative by making dinner in the microwave. However, I still don't remember what I cooked???
Also, instead of making the Martha Stewart Meatloaf recipe last week, I tried a Kraft recipe for Mini-meatloaves found on I'm an Organizing Junkie. It was OK. I must admit, it did not compare in taste to the Martha Stewart recipe. However, it was quick and easy, so taste for time is a good trade-off since it didn't taste that bad.
Well, I hope to try some new and interesting recipes soon. Until then, I do thank my readers and commenters for putting up with the boring menus lately.
Join the fun at I'm an Organizing Junkie.
