Verse of the Day:
“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16)
It's been a busy week.
Last Saturday I needed to run out to purchase my Father-in-Law's birthday gift, golf balls. Wow, I didn't know the amount of golf ball choices there are. So, after several minutes of confusion, I called my Brother-in-Law and asked for his input. He told me Titelist golf balls are good. I got DearFather-in-Law the Titelist HP Distance balls, for the lower speed swing golfer. Were they costly balls! $20/dozen...Hope they were worth the buy!
Well, I do have to brag about the great buys I did get from The Children's Place. Since I was out shopping, I decided to also look for a birthday present for my niece. I looked into KayBee and though they were having an up to 50% off sale, I didn't find anything good. Therefore, I decided to look at the other stores in the plaza. Well, The Children's Place was also having a clearance sale and I bought 6 items all for $16+. I saved 80+% off the original price because their sale was 50% off the already reduced priced items and then I got an additional 25% off for signing up for The Children's Place card. It was tempting to get more items, but I held back. So, I got an outfit for DearDaughter, an outfit for a DearFriend's first baby girl, and an outfit for my niece. After hitting 3 clearance sales and getting such great deals, I've decided that I will no longer purchase anything at full price!
On Sunday DearDaughter's cold was still not better and I also felt bad, so we stayed home from church.
On Monday, I did a quick clean-up for company, got a roast in the crockpot, and then ran out to do groceries. A couple hours after running to the store, my in-laws were here.
Tuesday, I did all my chores before DearDaughter got up and cooked a pot of Cream of Brocolli soup. After DearDaughter ate breakfast, we ran to Best Western to have breakfast with my in-laws. We then returned home and soon after returning home, it was time for lunch. My Father-in-Law was able to fix our dryer that day.
Wednesday, I did all my chores by 10am and we were off to Philly to have lunch with DearHusband by 10:45. Later that evening we went out to Pizza Hut!
Though it sounds like we did a lot of eating, I did manage to keep up with my chores during those days my in-laws were with us. Their last time with us was Wednesday evening. Ironically, I fell behind on my chores after they left because I just wanted to rest. My back just killed me all week long. I felt such great pressure on a back nerve which caused me to limp. The pain was so bad that I did research on the internet to see what I could find about backpain and how to relieve it. The most helpful tip was to exercise and to get an adjustment from the chiropractor. When I go to the doctor on Tuesday I will inquire about a referrel to a chiropractor. Well, though this might sound gross, a lot of pressure was relieved when I did a bowel movement. It was a log!!! I was constipated all week and the build-up must have been what was pushing up against the nerve. I am now able to walk normally again, however, though most of the pressure is off the nerve, there is still pain, and so I will ask for a referrel to go to the chiropractor.
I took it easy on Friday. After DearDaughter's appointment to get the flu shot I basically did nothing at home.
Today I exercised and spent most of the day playing with DearDaughter.
So that was my week.
Have a blessed Lord's Day,
In Pursuit of His Call
