What a day!

I had the opportunity to spend the whole day with a sister in the Lord and friend. She picked DearDaughter and I up at 9:30 this morning and we went shopping (at this gigantic thrift store)! For DearDaughter, I got a pair of pajamas, 4 long sleeved shirts, a Leap Frog Learning Drum, and one of those walking toys that pop balls all for less than $8! What a deal!!!

By the time we were done shopping it was lunch time so I suggested having lunch. Well, since we rarely get to do anything like this, we ate at a more upscale place (at least for me) called Panera's. Oh, they have the most wonderful kinds of breads! Yummy!!! I had a bowl of Brocolli Cheddar soup and a half of Hot Smoked Turkey sandwich. I also treated myself to an I.C. Cappuccino Chip drink. What a treat!!! The irony is that I spent more on lunch than at the thrift store ; }

It was a bit of a drive to the store and back and it gave this DearFriend and I the opportunity to have a wonderful time encouraging one another in the Lord. She told me about the movie One Night With the King (I think that was the title) and how she fell in love with the Lord even more after watching this movie. It is about the book of Esther and DearFriend enjoyed how the King's love for Esther just reflected our Heavenly King's love for his bride. I have not seen this movie yet, but after hearing my friend's review I am very interested to see it!!!

We finally got back home about 2:30 in the afternoon. I played and rested with DearDaughter for a time and then worked on the chores that I hadn't gotten done for the day. It is about 5:30pm as I am posting this and all my chores are done and DearHubby and I talked about going out for a little take out.

We don't normally have money to spend like this, but I got some money in the mail from my aunt last week for my birthday (2 months late) and so we are treating ourselves.

Have a blessed evening,
In Pursuit of His Call
